Due to the recent adverse weather conditions, Fleet Support Operations Ltd has experienced the highest levels of call volume in its history, double the amount of calls we would expect for this time of year. Unfortunately, due to factors beyond our control, this has affected our usual very high levels of service. Firstly, we would like to assure you that we have been doing everything possible to ensure our operations centre has been running at full capacity during this time. This includes picking employees up in 4x4 vehicles and drafting in extra staff to cope with the unprecedented demand. However, due to severe road conditions, with many side roads impassable and in some cases closed, we have on occasion taken longer than usual to reach a breakdown. We have also been affected when handling calls for you via outside agencies (such as manufacturers and specialist recovery companies); we have been experiencing long delays at their call centres, leading to higher than average ETAs, or in extreme cases, refusal of service. We appreciate this has been frustrating for everyone concerned and we wholeheartedly apologise if this has affected you. With the ice and snow predicted for the coming weeks in many areas of the UK, rest assured, we will continue to do everything in our power to maintain the service levels your customers have come to expect.
